Who We Are

Token is a dating application operated by Meta App Labs LLC. Our website is located at tokendating.app.

What We Collect & How

Information you provide directly:

• Email address and password (during registration)
• Birthday (during registration)
• Preferred pronouns and love interest preferences (during onboarding)
• Short bio and profile images (during onboarding and profile editing)
• Up to 3 personal symbols (glyphs) you select (during onboarding and profile editing)

Information collected automatically:

• Location data — collected with your permission via your device's location services, used for matching you with nearby users
• Device push notification token — collected with your permission to deliver notifications about new matches and messages

Profile information (name, bio, photos, pronouns, symbols, and approximate location) is shared with other users to facilitate the matching process.

Chat Data

When you chat with other users, messages are stored in our database. Chat data is only viewable by you, the other user, and Token. We do not use chat content for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than delivering messages.

Media

If you upload images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), other users may be able to extract that data. We recommend removing location metadata from photos before uploading.

How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

• Generate compatibility matches using our algorithm
• Display your profile to potential matches
• Enable messaging between matched users
• Send push notifications about new matches and messages (with your consent)
• Improve and maintain the service

We do not use your data for advertising, data mining, or any purpose unrelated to providing the Token service.

Data Storage & Third Parties

Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud) servers. We use the following Firebase services:

• Firebase Authentication — to manage your account and sign-in
• Cloud Firestore — to store your profile, matches, and chat data
• Firebase Cloud Storage — to store your profile images
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) — to deliver push notifications
• Firebase Cloud Functions — to run our matching algorithm and backend logic

Google Firebase processes your data solely to provide these services to us and is subject to Google's Data Processing Terms. Firebase provides the same or greater level of data protection as described in this policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for advertising, marketing, or data mining purposes. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

Push Notifications

Token may send push notifications about new matches and messages. Push notifications are not required to use the app. You can opt in or out of push notifications at any time through your device's system settings. You can also manage notification preferences within the app.

Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Chat data and its metadata are retained for the duration of your account. Upon account deletion, we delete your profile data, match data, location data, and profile images. Chat messages you sent may be retained in the other party's chat history.

You may delete your account directly within the app via Settings. You may also request deletion by contacting us at kismetdateapp@gmail.com. Account deletion is processed promptly.

Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw consent for data collection at any time:

• Location data: Revoke location permissions in your device settings. This will prevent new location-based matching but will not affect your existing account.
• Push notifications: Disable notifications in your device settings or within the app.
• Account and all data: Delete your account from Settings within the app, which removes your profile, matches, and stored data.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request an exported copy of your personal data held by Token
• Request correction of inaccurate personal data
• Delete your account and personal data directly within the app
• Request deletion by contacting us, for data we are not required to retain for legal or security purposes

Children's Privacy

Token is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a user under 18, we will delete that account and associated data promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of Token after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
